Objectives (050):
The Presidentís Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities (PCPID), provides advice to the President and to the Secretary of Health and Human Services through the Commissioner of the Administration on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AIDD), concerning a broad range of topics relating to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. (Salaries) FY 13 Not Available; FY 14 est $166,142; and FY 15 est $166,142 - the Presidentís Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities (PCPID) is an advisory committee, within the Administration for Community Living (ACL), whose members are designated and appointed by the President of the United States. The Committee consists of 13 Ex officio members designated from various Federal agencies, and 21 citizen members appointed by the President. The role of the members of the Committee is to advise the President on matters pertaining to people with intellectual disabilities, and the field of intellectual disabilities. The Committee does not administer any grants.

Regulations, Guidelines, and Literature (140):
Federal Advisory Committee Act of 11972. The Presidentís Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities is governed by Public Law 92-463, the Federal Advisory Committee Act, which sets forth standards for the formation and use of advisory committees (5 U.S.C., Appendix). Executive Order 12994, as amended by Executive Orders 13309 and 13446, provides the authority for PCPID. PCPID has been continued every two years by Executive Order and most recently by Executive Order 13652, issued on September 30, 2013, and effective through September 30, 2015.

The HHS Charter was amended on May 30, 2014.
